About This Race
In February 2014, 6-month-old Camden Asher Hillard died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep. He is one of the 4,000 babies who, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, die suddenly and of no immediate cause each year in the United States. This figure represents 4,000 families who are left with hundreds of questions but no answers as they grieve the loss of their dear little ones.
Camden’s Run is a volunteer effort of his parents, Julie and Chad Hillard of Leola, along with friends, family and community members dedicated to preventing this heartbreaking disease. August 22, 2016 would have been Camden’s 3rd birthday. This fundraising event will serve to bring greater awareness about SIDS, raise funds for SIDS study, as well as offer support to other families experiencing this unimaginable loss. Proceeds will benefit the Mayo Clinic and their SIDS research.
The organizers of this 501(c)(3) non-profit, Camden’s Run, would like to invite you to participate in this event by registering for our 5K run on August 19, 2017.
Thank you for your support in helping to eradicate Sudden Infant Death Syndrome!
